I've always wanted a rhinoplasty for years due to an having a nose with a hump and its overall shape which I thought didn't fit my face, therefore after having rhinoplasty cosmetic surgery and it being my first ever surgery, I can say without a doubt that Dr. Shuaib was the best choice I could have ever made in choosing a doctor for such a task. Within the first day of meeting Dr. Shuaib I received comforting information and advice that was complete with sufficient details on what was needed to prepare for the day of the surgery. I felt as if I was prepared and in good hands with little to worry about what was going to happen on the day of the surgery and the first few following days afterwards. On the day of the cast removal, despite my nose still being freshly swollen from the surgery, I immediately knew upon first glance that the nose was perfect for my face and looked amazing in comparison to my old nose. Day by day and week by week, did I quickly notice that my nose was getting better and better with each glance in the mirror and the swelling visibly going down through patience with time. As of writing this, I'm about 6 weeks post operation and my nose is in great healthy condition and with an appealing aesthetic appearance. To know that it's going to get even better as the weeks go by, is an incredible accomplishment for Dr. Shuaib. I am extremely happy with my results that have improved my overall confidence and which has changed my life for the better. I can say as a result of the surgery, that this was one of the greatest decisions I have ever taken. Before I begin my review, I would like to take the opportunity to apologize beforehand for such a long and extensive message; I felt this was necessary to truly capture what an amazing and skilled surgeon Dr. Shuaib is. At a young age I became aesthetically aware of the differences amongst my nose and those of my peers, and I knew that a rhinoplasty was a procedure I NEEDED to receive. Back then, I didn't realize that the medical severity and necessity far outweighed the cosmetic imperfections I was concerned about; I had a collapsed nostril and deviated septum that were hindering my overall health and well-being. I still didn't want to compromise my cosmetic appearance for my medical issues. I mean, we should be able to receive both, right? I visited a surgeon that told me he could only "fix" my cosmetic concern, but I would have to receive surgery from a different surgeon to address the medical concerns. Two different surgeons and two different surgeries for the same nose was not something I wanted to undergo. This is where my quest to find the perfect ENT specialized in cosmetic/plastic surgery began. Prior to finding Dr. Shuaib, I consulted with another ENT whom was also double-certified in what I was looking for. During our consultation, I felt the other ENT Doctor was only interested in the monetary gain instead of focusing on the patient's satisfaction. This ENT also suggested other services that I was not seeking. As if that weren't disappointing enough, after the simulation pictures of what I could possibly look like after surgery, he turns and looks at my husband and asks, "What do you think, sir, is she a keeper with the new nose?" Uh, rude. This didn't sit well, yet I thought I had no choice since I hadn't met an ENT that was double-board certified. Boy, was I wrong. I DID have a choice. Meeting Dr. Shuaib was fate; I sat in a consultation room not for me, but for my daughter. I was immediately drawn to his mannerism, his thoroughness, and how well he explained EVERYTHING. I decided to get a surgery consultation and left out of there knowing, without a doubt in my mind, that this was the Doctor meant to perform my longly-waited and anticipated surgery. On the day of the surgery, Dr. Shuaib spoke to my husband and myself beforehand. He explained the detailed process once again, and even showed us my pictures on his phone that he had been studying in preparation for my surgery. Wow! Talk about thoroughness in preparation for the surgery he was about to perform. Once again, I knew I was in the hands of the best skilled surgeon for my rhinoplasty. I am now two months post-operation, and the quality of care and attention has not diminished at all. He is attentive and available for any and all questions, concerns and comments that I may have. Dr. Shuaib has truly been God-sent; not only did he address my cosmetic concerns by giving me a beautifully straight and natural-looking nose, but he also provided me with a far greater quality of life. My nostril is now open and I can breathe! I did not realize the amount of oxygen deprivation I was suffering from. Oh, and now there's no such thing as to capture the "right" aesthetically pleasing angle for my nose; every angle is a good angle! Talk about a boost of self-confidence and self-esteem. If you're currently seeking a talented, skilled, committed and thorough ENT with incredible bedside manners, Dr. Shuaib is the perfect choice.

I had been having problems breathing through my nose for years and from the very get go Dr Shuaib took the time to review my history and look into all possible treatments before any discussion of surgery. He was patient, thorough and explained all of my options. After several efforts were made to help with my problem, nothing seemed to work for me so we ultimately agreed to go ahead with a minor surgery, and I’m so glad we did!
